Our fourth competition is upon us and will be at the Ozarko Marching Festival on Saturday, October, 14. The schedule is as follows:
9:45 a.m. – Arrive at the high school and begin loading the trailer
(EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE and/or bring snacks for the bus that will not dehydrate you)
10:45 a.m. – Load the buses
11:00 a.m. – Depart to Missouri State University
12:15 p.m. – Arrive at MSU, check-in, unload, use restroom, and immediately get into uniform
2:15 p.m. – Warm-Up/Tune
2:48 p.m. – Move to staging area
2:58 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE PRELIM PERFORMANCE!!!
(after our performance we will get out of uniform and return to the stadium to watch bands)
5:00 p.m. – Prelims Awards presentation
(we will plan dinner after awards, but that may change if we make finals and have an early time drawn)
7:29-10:00 p.m. – FINALS PERFORMANCES
10:30 p.m. – Finals Awards
11:00 p.m. – Load buses and trailers
11:15 p.m.’ish’ – Depart
12:30 a.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.
What you need to bring: your band shirt, black athletic shorts, long black socks, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, marching shoes, gloves, water bottle with water, sunblock, and any money you may want for concessions. You may also want to bring a change of clothes for drastic weather changes
If we do not make finals then we will eat and depart. If we do make finals then our dinner will be determined after our placement is announced. Dinner will be pasta, breadsticks, fruit, salad, cookie and a drink. We are looking for salad, cookies, pop, fruit, and water to be donated. Concessions will also be available.
This performance will be held at Missouri State University’s Robert W. Plaster Stadium, 1015 Grand St., Springfield, MO. Admission to the competition is $12 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens.
Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
