MSMA State Marching Contest

Our schedule for our final contest of the season, Missouri State Marching Championships, Saturday, October 19 is as follows:

7:00 a.m. – Arrive at the band room and begin to load (eat something before arriving)

7:30 a.m. – Depart Neosho

11:00 a.m. – Eat sack lunches on bus and then clean up mess

12:00 p.m. – Arrive at Battle High School, check-in, unload, and get into uniform

1:00 p.m. – Band Warm-up 

1:35 p.m. – Band report to gate

1:45 p.m. – WILDCAT PRIDE MARCHING BAND PRELIM PERFORMANCE!

4:45 p.m. – Awards presentation

(depending on whether we make finals, and our finals placement, we will decide when we will eat dinner)

6:00-7:00 p.m. – Class 5A FINALS PERFORMANCES

8:30 p.m. – Finals Awards presentation (full retreat)

9:00 p.m. 'ish' – Depart

1:00 a.m. 'ish' – Return to Neosho

The performance is at Battle High School– 7575 E St. Charles Rd., Columbia, MO. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for non-performing students.  

What you need to bring: your uniform, gloves, shoes, black socks, black athletic shorts, your band shirt, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, money for concessions/meals/etc.. Bring something to snack on if you will get hungry during the ride there or back.  The boosters will also provide a snack bag for this trip.

The boosters will be putting together lunch sacks that will be eaten on the bus on our way up.  Dinner Saturday will be Imo’s pizza.  Students can also bring snacks and money for concessions at the stadium.  We are looking for cookies, chips, pop, and water to be donated for those meals.

Be courteous to other groups and to each other over this two-day event! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
