JH District Honor Band

January 20, Junior High Honor Band Concert 5:30 pm

Congratulations on making it into the 2023 Southwest Missouri Junior High District Honor band. To get the most out of the experience you will need to be looking over your music and practicing for Saturday’s rehearsal. You will need to be present for the entire rehearsal. Missing rehearsal time will make you ineligible to participate in the concert. See details below.

Schedule:

7:30 am Arrive at Neosho Junior High Band Room

7:45 am Load Bus and Leave for Carl Junction Intermediate

8:30 am Arrive and check in

9:00 am -12:00 pm  Rehearsal

12:00 pm  Lunch with your school (Bring money to eat or bring a lunch)

1:30-4:00 pm  Rehearsal

5:30 pm  Concert   (7th grade honor band will perform first on the concert)

7:00 pm Depart for NJH (Approximate)

8:00 pm Arrive at NJH - Pick students up at front entrance (Approximate)

Things to Remember:

Bring $5.00 - $10.00 for pizza.  You may bring your own lunch and snacks.

Dress comfortably for the rehearsal and don’t forget to bring a WATER BOTTLE. After the rehearsal you will have time to change into dress clothes. Bring black and white dress clothes. Be sure to look your best for the concert and wear black and white only so that we look professional and uniform. Don’t forget to wear black socks.

Bring your instrument, music, sharpened pencils,water bottle, and extra reeds or valve oil to rehearsal. 

Parents may check their child out after both 8th grade and 7th grade have performed. I will not be available between ensembles. To speed up the process, you may hand me or another NJH director a signed note with your name and your child’s name. Invite your teachers, family, and friends to your concert!  It will be amazing and it is free.
