Valhalla Marching Competition
Our second competition of 2015 is upon us and will be the Valhalla Marching Festival on Saturday, October 3 at Parkview High School in Springfield, MO! The schedule for the day is as follows:
9:00 a.m. – Meet at the high school for a short rehearsal on the field
10:00 a.m. – Load the bus and trailers
10:15 a.m. – Depart high school
11:45 a.m. – Arrive at Parkview High School, check-in, and unload the trailer
12:15 p.m. – Change into Uniform
12:30 p.m. – Move to warm-up area
12:40 p.m. – Warm-up and Tune
1:10 p.m. – Move to performance staging area
1:30 p.m. – NEOSHO WILDCAT PRIDE MARCHING BAND PERFORMS!
1:40-4:45p.m. – Change out of uniform and watch bands perform as a group
4:45 p.m. – Eat a meal provided by the boosters
5:15 p.m. – Enter stadium and listen to remaining bands, and prelim awards
If we do not make finals, then we will depart immediately following prelims.
Could arrive in Neosho 7.p.m.’ish’
6:25-10p.m. – Finals Warm-ups and Performances (Our Placement will be announced
shortly after Prelim Awards if we move on)
10:15 p.m. – Finals Awards (Drum Majors Only)
After Retreat immediately load bus, trailers, and depart
11:45 p.m.’ish’ – Arrive in Neosho. Unload bus, and trailer.
What you need to bring: your uniform, gloves, shoes, black socks, black athletic shorts, your band shirt, your instrument, mallets, sticks, reeds, flags, rifles, money for concessions, clothes to change into etc.
This performance will be at Parkview High School in Springfield, MO. Spectator entry is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children (8th grade or younger). This price is for both prelims and finals. Programs will be available for purchase for $3.00 at the admission gate. Booster organization will provide a meal for the students late in the afternoon.
Be courteous to other groups and to each other! Remember, you are representing the band, music department, the school, and all of Neosho! Please conduct yourselves accordingly!
